Aggressive Fibromatosis of the Maxilla: a Case Report

Aggressive fibromatosis is a rare tumour with unpredictable growth and varying recurrence rates. It doesn't develop distant metastases but locally it shows an aggressive and infiltrative behaviour. It is never encapsulated and is rich in collagen and proliferative fibroblasts that are devoid of atypical nuclei. The degree of cellularity varies from area to area and from tumour to tumour. A rare case of aggressive fibromatosis occurring in the posterior maxilla in a 60 year old male patient is reported.
